Who We Are
A steady strategic partner for C-suite leaders, founders, and global consulting firms.
Nomad is a confidential advisory practice built on 30 years of work across executive search, corporate strategy, non-profit operations, HR, and succession planning.
We work with millennial C-suite leaders, founders, and purpose-driven organizations. Our job is simple: make the complex clear, then build a plan your team can execute.
We serve three kinds of clients:
- C-suite executives, founders, and board members who need confidential, high-stakes advisory.
- Global executive search firms that need specialized cross-border sourcing and rigorous screening.
- Mid-market companies and purpose-driven foundations going through restructuring or leadership transitions.

Nicole J. (Nikki) Townes
Founder · Principal Partner & Global Strategy Advisor
Fractional COO · Executive Search Consultant · C-Suite Confidant for critical transitions, restructuring, and operational drift.
For more than three decades, Nikki has worked as a strategic advisor, principal partner, and trusted confidant to senior leaders. She specializes in translating pressure into structure — so leaders know what to do next.
She stands shoulder-to-shoulder with C-suite leaders, founders, and global consulting firms through high-stakes market transitions — helping them use their time, capital, talent, and infrastructure well. Her footprint spans international corporate strategy, institutional governance, and global executive search.
Her career began at the intersection of marketing, corporate talent, and high-stakes recruitment. After studying Journalism and Mass Communications at Boston University, she recruited for and managed regional briefings for brands like General Mills and Procter & Gamble.
From there she moved into senior leadership at executive search firms — Head of Research & Development at a diversity recruiting firm, Managing Director at a venture capital recruiting firm, and Assistant Vice President of Executive Search at a major Boston financial institution. She has since founded two companies and a non-profit: one focused on recruitment crisis management for search agencies, one on operations and governance, and a 501(c)(3) building faith-based curriculum.
Over her career she has served Fortune 500 companies, mid-sized businesses, and entrepreneurs across technology, engineering, defense, entertainment, healthcare, finance, government, ministry, education, and retail.
Beyond consulting, Nikki is a minister and author of 14 published works focused on personal accountability, leadership devotionals, and professional development.
